AMAZIA Barrier Repair Face Cream – Ceramide Complex, Squalane & Matrixyl – 50ml
Seal in hydration and restore your skin barrier overnight and all day.The AMAZIA Deep Hydration Barrier Cream is a me...
Step by Step
- Cleanse face with the AMAZIA Amino Acid Cleanser (pH 5.2). Pat dry — do not rub.
- Apply 3–4 drops to slightly damp skin. Press gently with palms — do not rub or stretch.
- Layer the AMAZIA Deep Hydration Barrier Cream on top to seal in actives.
- Use morning and evening. In the morning, always follow with broad-spectrum SPF 50+.
Hard Water Tip
If your tap water feels "hard" — leaves white deposits on taps or feels slippery after washing — rinse your face with filtered or boiled-cooled water for maximum results. Pakistani tap water at 280–520 ppm TDS actively disrupts the barrier; reducing this daily exposure accelerates recovery.
Patch Test
First-time users: apply a small amount to the inner forearm for 24–48 hours before full facial use. All AMAZIA formulas are fragrance-free and clinically tested for reactive skin, but individual sensitivities vary.

Active Ingredients & Concentrations
Beta-Glucan 1%
Immunomodulation · Deep Soothing
Activates Langerhans cells to accelerate wound healing and down-regulate the chronic low-grade inflammation triggered by Pakistan's hard water alkalinity. Penetrates deeper than most moisturising actives for sustained relief beyond the next wash.
Ceramide NP 2.5%
Lipid Matrix Repair
Biologically identical to human ceramide-2 — the primary ceramide in the stratum corneum lipid matrix. At 2.5%, clinical trials demonstrate measurable barrier recovery in 4 weeks. This is 5–10× the concentration used in most mainstream moisturisers.
Niacinamide 5%
Multi-Pathway Barrier
Increases ceramide synthesis, regulates sebum, reduces post-inflammatory marks, and lowers pro-inflammatory cytokine production. At 5%, also improves skin tone evenness by inhibiting melanosome transfer.
Clinical References
| Active | Study | Finding |
|---|---|---|
| Beta-Glucan 1% | Pillai et al., Int J Cosmet Sci (2005) | Beta-glucan demonstrated significant wound-healing acceleration and reduction in inflammatory marker IL-1β after 4 weeks of twice-daily application versus vehicle control. |
| Ceramide NP | Del Rosso et al., J Clin Aesthet Dermatol (2019) | Ceramide-dominant moisturizer significantly restored permeability barrier function in subjects with compromised stratum corneum; reduction in TEWL and clinical severity scores. |
| Niacinamide 5% | Gehring, Int J Cosmet Sci (2004) | 5% niacinamide increased ceramide and free fatty acid levels in forearm skin after 6 weeks of twice-daily application, with improvement in skin barrier function. |
Studies are cited for the active ingredient at the stated concentration. AMAZIA products have not been independently published in peer-reviewed journals. Individual results vary. Read the full Skin Barrier Guide →
